Anti-spyware
A spyware is a little software that, if one's computer is not equipped with an anti-spyware software, installs itself on your computer to intercept or take partial control of the computer, while your browsing the Internet.
Spywares can retreive a lot of information from the infected computer, Internet surfing habits, sites visited, and can cause many annoying things to occur, like installing additionnal software, redirecting browser, access website without you knowing could infect you with harmfull viruses and more! Unlike viruses and worms, spywares does not usually self-replicate.
In response to spywares, companies have built anti-spyware software to help user protect their information and computers. I've tried all kinds of anti-spyware softwares, and now I use Symantec Norton Internet security because it's simply the best one out there!

The first thing one person can do to protect itself against spyware, is to use another browser thant Microsoft Internet Explorer. I reccomend using Mozilla - Firefox.
