A lot of people are talking about Web 2.0 design, let me set the record straight. Web 2.0 is not way to design a website, it is the global approach to your website, what you offer and how you present it.



Web 2.0 is more how you communicate, with blogs, videos, wikis. It's more about interaction that design.



When talking about web design, we're talking about trends, creativity and making it the easiest possible for people to find information on your website.

Here is what I think is important concerning web design:

• Easy navigation
• Clean layout
• Choice of colors must be easy on the eyes
• Be creative but not too much, depending on your clientele
• If you really want to use flash, do it but I don't recommend it
• Use standards fonts so it's easy to read, and not too small
• If you use large images, make sure they are size optimized for quick download
• Be consistent throughout the site, keep the same layout
